The Society was reuniting the missing destitute with their families through Press, Letters, Personal contacts, but because of limited response through the conventional methods and frequent admissions of the destitute, the premises was getting over crowded. However the Society’s one of the prime objective is to reunite the lost members of the families. To solve this problem one of the volunteer sewadar of the Society S.Charanjit Singh discovered a new method to reunite the missing destitute with their families through internet. To put his best efforts and dedications he put the process under name MISSION MILAAP. Under this mission many of the families of the missing destitute were found out throughout INDIA.
The 9th day of March 2009 was memorable for Mukesh, his family and the Society itself. Mission Milaap got a big success by finding the family of Mukesh who was missing for last 11 years. Mukesh was brought to the Society by S. Shamsher Singh him self & S. Karam Singh from Chandigarh on 20.06.09 night, who was exploring a garbage pile to find some eatable. The mentally ill Mukesh was under care and treatment since then. After due treatment he gained some confidence to reveal his identity and the name of his village as PANDAPURA. The word ‘Pandapura’ was searched on the internet from where the state Madhya Pradesh and the district BHIND came to the picture. Afterward the MP police website was explored from where the Bhind Police station phone number was taken and contacted. The phone attendant confirmed the actual Police station for Pandapura as DEHAT. Then Dehat Police station was contacted on phone where Mr. Upadhyaye & Mr. Prem Kumar Yadav (Head Constable) attended the call and noted down the detail of the family of the missing Mukesh. Within one day Mr. Prem Kumar Yadav found out the lost family. The wave of happiness and astonishment got spreaded through out the village. The family left with a little hope to find him in life was very happy and was hardly believing that it is going to meet Mukesh. Mukesh’s wife was still living with her In Laws. He was handed over to his family joyfully with the detail of medicines he was having during his treatment at Society.
Similar way 46 such families have been found out so far and there are many more such cases under progress to reunite the families. The Society is greatly thankful to the various States’ Police to help in finding the lost members of the families.
